Roll a Barber RNG Money Guide: Improve Your Online Shop

Last updated:

Earn more by improving the part of your shop that is holding back service. Fill your available barber slots, compare Pay with Speed, then put your cash toward the upgrade that fits your current team.

Equip a full working team first. Choose Money upgrades for more cash per haircut, Chair upgrades when you have another useful barber ready, Cutting upgrades for slow haircuts, and Customer upgrades for slow walking. Near $9.7M, consider saving for your first rebirth and its ×1.5 Cash multiplier, accepting the cash reset. Keep Auto Roll ON after 30 rolls so your shop earns while you roll for replacements online.

Start with a Full Working Team

Fill any empty unlocked slots before buying more capacity.

  1. Open BARBERS and check the equipped count.
  2. Click EQUIP BEST to fill your available slots from your inventory, or select a barber and click EQUIP.
  3. Check the green equipped marks and return to the shop to see your team working. To replace someone manually, use UNEQUIP on the current worker, then equip the replacement.

For a three-slot shop, consider Nova Blade, Fade Phantom and Neon Nico if you own them. Neon Nico with Overdrive or Crown Cut is a useful candidate because those traits improve cutting speed. Compare the versions and traits you actually own before choosing your team; see the lineup guide for early alternatives and detailed three-slot recommendations.

Match Your Spending to the Bottleneck

Choose the purchase that addresses your current shop's limitation.

What needs improving Choose Relevant cost and effect
Cash earned per haircut Money branch Money I: $24,000, +50% money per haircut. Money II: $400,000, +100%. Money III: $4M, +150%.
All slots are occupied and another useful barber is ready Chair branch Chair 2: $230,000 for two total slots. Chair 3: $14M for three total slots, after Chair 2. Equip another barber after unlocking the slot.
Haircuts take too long Cutting branch or a speed trait Cutting I: $62,000, +20% Cutting Speed. Cutting II: $630,000, +25%. Cutting III: $13M, +30%. Overdrive gives its holder ×2.2 Cut Speed.
Customers spend too long walking Customer branch Customer I costs $78,000 and leads to Customer II at $1.1M, which gives +25% customer walking speed.
You want equipment bonuses to Tips Compact Hair Dryer or Pro Clippers Compact Hair Dryer improves Tips; Pro Clippers improves both Speed and Tips.

Skill prices are for individual nodes. Follow Money I → II → III, Cutting I → II → III, and Customer I → II, including any unpaid prerequisites in your budget. The Money percentages are each node's stated effect; use the resulting shop income display to compare your upgrade's impact.

For a worker who needs both money and speed, Crown Cut provides ×1.8 Money and +50% Cut Speed to that barber. Trait bonuses apply to their holder, so consider which worker receives the benefit.

For equipment, open the shop's Equipment tab and compare the current value, next-level preview and next upgrade price. At LV 2/25, Compact Hair Dryer's next upgrade costs $13M and previews Tips changing from ×1.08 to ×1.16. Pro Clippers costs $12M for its next upgrade at that level, previewing Speed ×1.06 → ×1.14 and Tips ×1.05 → ×1.12. Choose the dryer for the larger displayed Tips increase, or the clippers when both bonuses matter.

Use the skill tree guide for branch paths, the barber slot guide for capacity unlocks, and the customer guide for walking-speed upgrades. The equipment guide covers equipment choices, while Tips bonuses focuses on tip-oriented traits and equipment.

Compare Pay and Speed Together

Higher Pay alone does not guarantee higher shop income. A slower barber can earn more per haircut while completing fewer haircuts.

Consider this three-slot comparison, with Nova Blade and Crown Cut Neon Nico staying on the team:

Barber being compared Trait Displayed Speed Displayed Pay
RAINBOW Fresh Felix None ×1.22 ×12.24
Fade Phantom Jackpot King ×3.10 ×8.07

Using EQUIP BEST replaced RAINBOW Fresh Felix with Fade Phantom, and that shop's displayed income rose from $253,000/s to $333,000/s. Felix had the higher Pay, but Fade Phantom was substantially faster.

Compare your owned barbers with the same number of occupied slots, and keep track of their mutations, traits and active upgrades. Pay and Speed are individual barber multipliers; cash/s is the shop's total income display. Multiplying Pay by Speed does not give a cash-per-second income figure. Use both attributes to shortlist replacements, then compare the resulting team income.

Use Rebirth and Paid Boosts for the Right Goal

The first rebirth requires $9.7M and raises the rebirth Cash multiplier from ×1 to ×1.5. It resets your cash; unlocked skills remain and working barbers continue serving customers.

If you are close to $9.7M and want the lasting multiplier, consider saving for rebirth before making a large purchase that would delay it. If you still have empty slots or a weak working team, improve that foundation first so you can rebuild cash with an active shop. See the first rebirth guide for the requirements and reset details.

For paid money boosts:

  • Money 2x doubles money earned from all your barbers, making it the more focused choice for barber earnings.
  • VIP includes ×1.5 Money, ×1.5 Luck and ×1.5 Daily Rewards, making it worth considering when you want those additional benefits too.

Compare the separate benefits against your goal in the game pass guide.

Keep Online Rolling and Trading Up

Your working barbers can serve customers while Auto Roll runs. Set up both activities together for online money farming:

  1. Equip your working team and fill the slots you have unlocked.
  2. Reach 30 rolls to unlock Auto Roll.
  3. Switch AUTO ROLL to ON beside the Roll button.
  4. Keep the shop operating while you move around or inspect menus. Review new barbers for useful replacements and put your earnings toward the upgrade you chose.

For a savings target, enter your current cash, target total and actual online earning rate into the savings calculator. Include unpaid prerequisite purchases in the target. Use a rate measured from your cash gained over a timed period without spending, then update the estimate after changing your team, upgrades or rebirth multiplier.
